Lazy Thursday Blues: The Movie Return

It has been a long time since I've done one of these... And in the interest of getting them started up again, this one will be in play for a number of days .Since it's been such a long time, this game should feel a bit new again!

I'll start the game with a quote from a movie. Whoever knows it can respond, with the movie it's from, additionally they will add a new movie quote to keep the game rolling. This continues till we all get stumped or bored.

Only two little rules
1.) No R or greater movies
2.) No cussing

"Daddy, I do not want a boat like this!"

No.

That would be Willy Wonka! Varuka Salt to be specific. I watch that movie every time it is on.

my movie quote from another of my fav's

"There it is!"

Peter Brown said...

"There it is!" -- This could be LOTS of flicks, but the one that I know it from is Amadeus.. Somewhere near the "too many notes" line I think... Feel free to correct or add more quotes and we can all try again.

Up next:

"Immortal?"
"It means you'll never die."
"[angry] I know what it means!"

Harry Potter and Sorcerer's Stone.

"Can you fly this plane and land it?"
"Surely you can't be serious?"
"I am serious...and don't call me Shirley."

For the last quote it is Airplane.

As far as my quote, I wasn't using Amadeus, though should have realized the confusion.

I will give you another from my movie:

"You've lost, you just don't know it"

Missy-

Nope... still have zero clue... Even tried cheating but Google only lists that quote from "Searching for Bobby Fisher" I'm guessing this isn't "another of my fav's"

Throw us a bone here! We're sinking!

okay why wouldn't it be one of my fav's, you don't like it?

Yes it's searching for bobby fischer....um do I have bad taste?

I loved the movie, but I wouldn't have put it on your list of favs. Clearly I don't know you as well as I thought!

Alright then, just to make it official!

"Searching for Bobby Fisher"

New movie-

'It couldn't be a Lilly or a taffy-daffy- dilly,
It's got to be a rose cause it rhymes with Mose."

Singing in the rain.

I spent a lot of time at home as a kid, watched old movie after old movie. You and I will have to talk movies more often.

Okay, here's another...i cry at this point, every time. This is my favorite of her movies.

Don't you know me, Daddy? I'm Sara! I'm Sara!

I know it's kind of late but I have to answer my aunts, because it's one of my favorites too.

The Little Princess!

And I cry too.

Patricia-

Well done, but a serious breach of protocol there!! Where is the follow up quote?

As the reigning master I will insert another-

"No one makes the first jump. It doesn't mean anything."

totally stumped, been thinking for days and nothing, even cheated and couldn't come up with it. It sounds so familiar but....I am dying to know.

The Matrix. However I must call you on breeching your own protocal, as The Matrix is rate R. Busted!

Ok, my turn...

"You were supposed to fire up, we both fired up! It's like living with a six year old."

Anonymous said...

actually the first matrix is rated pg-13, hard to believe, but true.

your quote is from Three Amigo's, I love Martin Short!

And yes that is the Three Amigos! Well done. Love that movie.
